Great article in The Atlantic about real vs. fake (photoshopped, mis-attributed) images coming out of hurricane Sandy. The most interesting thing are the overlaps – images that appear to be fake but are actually real, like this incredible, surreal image of a flooded but lit-up carousel in DUMBO. Reality is almost always going to trump fiction and this is an astonishing image.
